Hello from our President!
Fair, fair, fair. Please go online http://www.baxtercofair.com/fairbook.php and read the fair book, then make several entries. We should be well represented both with horticulture entries and as workers. Plan to work the fair. There will be sign up sheets at our meeting. You do know enough and you do have a bit of time to help.
Cacti and Succulents
Presented by the Horticulture Committee
Featuring; Angela Reagan
Barbara Goodlett will be discussing "Obnoxious Weeds"
And as almost always . . . bring any plants of special interest and share information about them. Bring plants or problems that need identification or help. If there is no solution at the meeting, it will be researched and we will get back to you. Remember to secure diseased plants or plants with insects in clear plastic bags. All items brought to the table MUST include the plant identification form with your name, or it will not be discussed during the horticulture time. Plant identification forms are provided at the table.
Free raffle: Bring garden related items or items you no longer need: Garden books, magazines, plants not appropriate for the plant sale, decorative pots etc. Winners will be drawn after the break. Remember to check after the meeting for a winning draw.
Big reminder: As Master Gardeners we should exhibit flowers, herbs and veggies from our gardens to encourage others to do the same. Also try your hand at flower arranging, it's fun! Another way to learn about horticulture is to volunteer at the Horticulture section of the Fair. It's fun and rewarding. . . . . . and you earn hours.
