We had a super productive day at Cooper Park thanks to wonderful hardworking folks. Thank you to: Jennie Rowland and her sister Toni Velasquez, Frank Sinning, Janie Robbins, Anne Carriere, Pat Babcock, Carol Rossell - Lesher and Debbie Blakeslee. Everyone worked so hard mulching the herb garden (we still have a little way to go) and setting more stones around the perimeter. It looks great. Then we got into the beds in front of the Jones Cabin, the rain had released a whole new crop of weeds after we had left it so tidy last time. They look wonderful now, you can actually see the flowers.
I personally want to thank everyone for such great work creating the new Medicine Wheel Herb Garden and staying extra long today. I have not been a big help in the last year and Judy has had extra duty. You all have graciously pitched in with enthusiasm and dirty hands and knees. What a great group!
Our next PED will be Wednesday, May 13 at 9 AM. We will finish up at the herb garden and move down to the Shotgun Cabin. Some of you are starting summer travels, if you can spend some time at Cooper Park when you are in town start at the Shotgun Cabin weeding and trimming things up a little. You can contact Judy or myself and we can suggest some projects.
Thanks again! Janie reminded us today that "many hands make light work," and it was evident at the end of the morning. Enjoy the sunshine this week in your own garden.
